What are Directory Categories?
Directory Categories allow you to sort rooms into different categories and then view those categories in the room directory. There are currently three categories: Chat, Games, and Trade.
Each of these categories is divided into subcategories:
- Chat: Hangout, Roleplaying, Other
- Games: Pageant, Color Run, Blocks, Cross the Line, Mafia, Races, Other
- Trade: Auction, Storefront, User Grabs, Other
Do Directory Categories have any effect on gameplay?
No. You can continue to do whatever you want in these rooms. For example, you can still trade in a game room or host pageants in a trade room. The directory categories make it easier for you and other players to find rooms you may be interested in.
How do you see what subcategory a room is in?
You cannot currently see what subcategory a room is in. We intend to add this feature at a later date.
Are there any limits to how many times I can change a room's category or subcategory?
Nope, you can change them as many times as you'd like!
Where can I access Directory Categories?
You can find the category menu when creating a new room or editing an existing room. Please see the photos below:

Help! I changed my room's category, but I can't find it in the directory. I've tried refreshing the directory multiple times, and I still can't see it. What should I do?
Don't panic. It can take up to 1 minute for your changes to take effect. Please ensure one minute has passed and try refreshing your directory.
